Rangers fans on Twitter have no idea why Rossiter was thrown out to do post-match interview

Yesterday saw Steven Gerrard’s Rangers fail to capitalise on the fact that their opponents had ten men for 70 minutes as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Dens Park. Kenny Miller put the home side ahead early on before Andy Halliday equalised from a free-kick, but after the game with the Gers fuming, they were surprised to see young Jordan Rossiter face the media.

To say that anyone in a Rangers shirt had a good game yesterday would be a stretch, but Rossiter himself wasn’t too far away from that. The collective seemed to have a day off when they arrived at Dens Park and the struggling Scottish Premier League side were good value for their valuable point at home, but it simply wasn’t good enough from Rangers and then the fans weren’t happy to see the likes of their captain and bigger players hide afterwards.
It really is looking like the club miss Alfredo Morelos when he’s unavailable and considering he’s had three dismissals this season it looks like they have t fare without him an awful lot. However, the supporters wish that some of their top players, and namely the captain James Tavernier, had the front to face the media afterwards, instead of leaving the likes of young Rossiter, the 21-year-old with just four appearances to his name this season.

Where is the captain? Lad who has a handful of games sent out to explain that performance?

The only player I enjoyed watching today. Direct, played with urgency and always looking to go forward. Should start every game.

Once again this lad is the only one with the minerals to come out and speak and be honest after a bad game. He hasn’t played that well since he came back from injury, but I believe it will come and I believe his attitude makes him future captain material.

The Gers were fuming with the result yesterday but then couldn’t believe that some of their dressing room leaders opted to hide from the post-match interview.
