The aftermath of Glasgow Rangers releasing their 200-page dossier, which is meant to include proof of the SPFL’s wrongdoing in recent weeks, is likely to be damaging for football in Scotland.
The ‘Gers have accused the governing body of corruption following their handling of the resolution proposal which was intended to decide how the rest of the season should be played out. The evidence of said foul play had been sent on Thursday to the other 41 clubs in the top four tiers of the Scottish footballing pyramid, although it also ended up in the hands of the SPFL, who believe that there was no worthwhile evidence they could see to substantiate Rangers’ claims.
They have now shared a letter with all clubs in which they refute the claims made and they have even accused the ‘Gers themselves of foul play. They say that Douglas Park, the club’s active chairman, made a threat to Neil Doncaster, the SPFL’s chief.
Are you satisfied with the evidence provided?
