Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has said that there is no secret way of beating Tottenham ahead of his side’s clash with Spurs this weekend.
Quoted by the club’s official website, the title winner was previewing the clash that sees two of last year’s title contenders go head to head, with the Foxes coming into the game as Champions.
Our resident Foxes fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their side can find some way of getting round the only unbeaten side left in the division but take hope from Ranieri’s words that, despite not having a secret plan.
In the eyes of many, he can really do no wrong.
“There is no secret to beating Spurs only hard work during the season”, said the 65-year-old.
”Be solid and play together – that’s our secret. I think we are more close to winning than losing again.”
”We know it will be a good match against Spurs. They are a good team.”
Those from the east Midlands are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League table, having struggled to recapture last season’s form, but have won all of their games in the Champions League.
Considering what happened last term, the Leicester fans truly believe anything can happen these days.
Spurs, meanwhile, are one point off of top spot in an ever-tightening title race.
