Sections of Liverpool support actually want Mo Salah sold

Liverpool got their Champions League campaign off to a flyer last night following after beating Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield, in a game during which the 3-2 scoreline did the visitors justice. Indeed, despite goals from Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe, the Reds battered the French champions and, largely, looked a cut above them.

However, one cause for concern was the form of Mo Salah. A hero last season after a record-breaking season, the Egyptian has looked somewhat off the pace this time around and his sloppy play late in the second half allowed Neymar to break before the Brazilian setup Mbappe.

Clearly, Salah’s 46 goal haul last season affords him an awful lot of time, but the former Chelsea man’s lacklustre contribution has invoked the ire of the Kop faithful online.

In fact, some of those on social media have already begun turning on him, which is crazy considering last season. Still, perhaps that points to the fickle nature of football fans.
