While United clearly have the funds available to buy pretty much anyone these days, the finely balanced nature of Jose Mourinho’s squad at Old Trafford gives some food for thought.
Simply replacing him with another big name for the sake of it may well upset Paul Pogba’s form, meaning the Premier League giants should take deep thought on the matter.
With that being said, here are TWO better options for Man United than Rooney.
Riyad Mahrez

Having taken the Premier League by storm last year, Riyad Mahrez announced himself on the world stage for Leicester City.

Would give Mourinho an extra gear.
Oliver Burke

Pace and power in equal measure, the 19-year-old is looking like a real prospect.
Clearly, he’s got a long way to go in terms of reaching his potential and now he may be a bit of a risk, a couple of years developing in the Bundesliga can see him flourish.
In full flow, the former Nottingham Forest man is truly a sight behold.
As he grows up, he’d be quite the sight at the Theatre of Dreams.
