Sell, sell, sell: 2 Liverpool men who must be axed before Tuesday’s 11pm deadline

Liverpool are having a littler stutter in form lately, and the Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are cutting nervous figures.

In a week which has seen them knocked out of the League Cup to Southampton, manager Jurgen Klopp will be running the rule over his squad and looking at where improvements can be made.

Talk over at the jukebox here in the Tavern has been about which players the Reds should be looking to sell before the deadline on Tuesday.

There are a few players in the Liverpool squad who Klopp might look to sell before January is over, with performances and attitudes of a few individuals not up to scratch.

Our landlord agrees, and thinks that some of the Liverpool squad haven’t been pulling their weight.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO Liverpool players who should be sold before the deadline…

Daniel Sturridge

The decline of the England striker this season is obvious to everyone, and it might be time for the former Man City and Chelsea man to move on.

He clearly isn’t fancied too much by Klopp, and his injury record leaves a lot to be desired.

This season has been poor for Sturridge, and a move away might be just what he needs to revitalise his stuttering career.

Alberto Moreno

The Spanish left back has fell out favour following a number of calamitous performances earlier on in the season, and it looks likely he could be moved on.

Moreno is not a particularly bad player, it’s just Liverpool seem to have better options at the moment.

A move back to Spain could be on the cards for Moreno, while some Premier League clubs may well also be willing to take a gamble on him.
