Serie A giants plot £7m bid to CUT SHORT 8-year Liverpool spell

Lucas LeivaThe Daily Mirror have certainly caused a stir here in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening as they seem to think that a £7 million offer could be coming Liverpool’s way.

It seems that Serie A giants Inter Milan are willing to make a firm bid for Reds midfielder Lucas Leiva who has been at Anfield since way back in 2007.

The Brazilian may have worked his way back into Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up at Anfield of late but is still considering life elsewhere and is reportedly keen on a move to Italy.

Roberto Mancini is now willing to make Liverpool an offer they cannot refuse for the holding man in the middle of the park.

Whilst it may leave Brendan Rodgers with a little bit of a selection headache whilst Joe Allen works his way back to match fitness, we think that it is an offer the Reds should take while reinvesting the money in their squad, albeit a little bit more successfully this time!

Liverpool fans. Would you be happy to see Lucas leave for a fee of £7 million or would you rather rely on him until the end of the season? Let us know your thoughts below.
