“Just imagine Ross Barkley and Dele Alli behind Harry Kane!”, are the words to have come tumbling from the mouth of a Spurs fan here in the Transfer Tavern after the Everton’s victory over Leicester on Sunday, and although he’s often mocked for his Lilywhites affections, he has a point!
The England international was in excellent form as the Toffees brushed the reigning champions aside 4-2 at Goodison Park, laying on an assist for Romelu Lukaku in the process.
Spurs are one of a host of clubs reportedly watching the talented Liverpudlian and although there is no indication that the Merseysiders want to sell, the player may find it hard to overlook interest from White Hart Lane given that Champions League football will help his Three Lions ambitions no end.
And judging by the reaction on Twitter, plenty of Tottenham supporters would love to have the playmaker in north London…
