Liverpool are definitely heading in the right direction under Jurgen Klopp as they managed to secure all three points against Fulham last time out.
The Reds remain unbeaten in the Premier League which has helped them establish themselves as title contenders at this moment in time, but things haven’t necessarily gone to plan in the Champions League.
Interestingly, Liverpool will travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford in their next Premier League fixture. The Hornets have dropped off the pace recently after a strong start to proceedings, but they will still provide a big challenge for Jurgen Klopp’s side later on today.
With that in mind, Klopp must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Liverpool players…
XHERDAN SHAQIRI
Xherdan Shaqiri has enjoyed a rather successful start to life at Anfield after making the move from Stoke City during the summer transfer window. The Switzerland international has produced two goals and two assists in his later five Premier League appearances, with one of the goals coming against the Cottagers last time out.
Indeed, the winger is enjoying a rich vein of form at this moment in time and impressed after being gifted a starting place last time out, so Klopp shouldn’t hesitate to turn to him once again.
JAMES MILNER
James Milner has always been able to ensure consistency during his time at Liverpool, but he hasn’t enjoyed as many minutes as he would have expected in the current campaign.
The likes of Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum have been called upon in recent times, but after witnessing the Brazilian’s recent performances in the side, the Englishman simply has to be inserted back into the lineup.
Watford like to overload in midfield areas and enjoy real success through the middle, so deploying an energetic Milner could really help Liverpool snuff out any danger.
