Loads of Sheffield United fans reacted to a post from the club’s official account that included a photo of Enda Stevens, as Friday marked three years to the day since he signed for the Yorkshire outfit.
Arriving as a free agent from Portsmouth, Stevens teamed up with Chris Wilder’s side shortly after the Blades had been promoted to the Championship.
The Irishman has made 28 appearances in the Premier League, picking up his first assist against Chelsea towards the start of the season and scoring his first goal in the competition away at Norwich in December. He has won 2.3 tackles per game and completed 1.5 clearances on average in the English top flight this season (via WhoScored).
Sheffield United currently find themselves seventh in the table, tied with Wolverhampton Wanderers on 43 points but with a game in hand over Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
Unsurprisingly, many of the Bramall Lane faithful gushed over the club’s “superb” tweet, with one fan dubbing Stevens a “baller” and another adding that he was an “absolute bargain”.

The most typical Wilder signing. Unknown by most. Deemed not good enough by previous clubs at this level.
A baller and a half. Wilder knew.#sufc
