Several Sheffield Wednesday supporters have said that they do not want goalkeeper Cameron Dawson to be sent out on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 24-year-old is currently the second choice shot-stopper at Hillsborough, with Republic of Ireland international Keiren Westwood the regular between the sticks.

Dawson has had to make do with a place on the bench more often than not this term, although he did start in the Owls’ recent Championship matches against Cardiff City and Stoke City (via WhoScored).
He actually managed to impress in those games, particularly against the Potters where he made a stunning save to deny Lee Gregory and keep a clean sheet (@swfc).
However, despite playing well he was still dropped for their following game against Leeds following the return to fitness of Westwood (BBC Sport).
With that in mind, a Sheffield Wednesday fan account on Twitter – Owls HQ – asked supporters whether it would be worthwhile allowing Dawson to go out on loan in January to get some first team football under his belt.
The response, however, was a resounding no, with most fans suggesting that it would be unwise to allow their second choice goalkeeper leave on a temporary basis. Here is what some had to say…
He’s our number 2…you don’t send them out on loan UTO

No, he’s established himself as the 2nd choice. I think the sensible thing to do would be to look at the possibility for Joe Wildsmith to go out on loan when he’s fit and available. Dawson has been excellent for us and there is no reason to remove him from the squad.
