Sheffield Wednesday fans have been rushing to praise defender Liam Palmer on social media after seeing the kind gesture he made whilst on international duty.
Whilst lining up for Scotland as they prepared to take on Kazakhstan in a Euro 2020 qualifier at Hampden Park, the right-back took off his tracksuit jacket and wrapped it around a young mascot to keep him warm (via @swfc).
It is actually the second time during the recent international break that Palmer has been pictured doing something nice, after also tying another young mascot’s shoe lace prior to Scotland’s game against Cyprus on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was starting his fourth successive fixture for Steve Clarke’s side and went on to have a good game as he helped them win 3-1, providing one assist in the process (Transfermarkt).
The official Scotland twitter account initially posted the picture of Palmer giving his jacket up, but it was soon quote tweeted by the official Sheffield Wednesday account.
And when it was, some Owls supporters were quick to praise the character of their player…
Absolute class!!!
