Sam Hutchinson has returned to Sheffield Wednesday training ahead of the weekend action, according to journalist Dom Howson.

The Lowdown: Owls in need of a win

Darren Moore's side host Bolton Wanderers in League One on Saturday afternoon, as they desperately look to find some consistent form.

Last weekend's 2-1 defeat at home to Oxford United was a hugely disappointing result and it is vital that the Owls bounce back this weekend.

The Latest: Hutchinson back in action

It looks as though Wednesday have received a big boost ahead of Saturday's match, with Howson taking to Twitter to confirm that Hutchinson was spotted on Friday, confirming the experienced ace is 'back in training from the latest training ground pictures', stating his return is 'good to see'.

The Verdict: Huge boost for Wednesday

Hutchinson missed the Oxford defeat and his influence was missed, with the 32-year-old such a key player in recent years, when he is fit.

The veteran's return is an undoubted boost for Moore and he could come straight back into the team, either at centre-back or in midfield.

It feels likely that it will be the former, allowing Hutcinhson to partner Dominic Iorfa in defence, adding to his 184 Owls appearances in the process and looking to inspire his side to a much-needed three points.
