Sheffield Wednesday could only draw 1-1 with Birmingham City last night at Hillsborough in the Sky Bet Championship as they continue to stutter.
The Owls have lost a bit of ground in recent weeks with results dipping below the level that they would like and that has seen them drop away from the top six.
They are still more than capable of getting back towards the play-off places, of course, but they will need to roll their sleeves up and go again at the weekend.
Speaking of the weekend, it seems as though there are many calls coming from Owls fans for Fernando Forestieri to start with several a bit confused as to why he didn’t play from the off yesterday evening.
Let’s take a look at what has been said on Twitter concerning the creative attacker:
How Forestieri doesn't start is beyond me #swfc

We huffed and puffed. Forestieri came on and we started to play 1-2's and finally managed to shoot on goal regularly. Then 5 minutes later Monk put him out wide left. Fortunately he carried on performing at a high level. Simply has to start. #swfc https://t.co/euf9cDcSCB

Play a 4-4-2, Forestieri and Harris down the wings, Fletcher and Nuhiu up top and press the game hard. #swfc

Monk's tactics are so dull and restrictive. Birmingham were there for the taking.
Surely after seeing the last 15 minutes, he can see that we need to play two strikers and make the most of Forestieri? #swfc

Feels like it was under Jos, everyone crying out for Forestieri to start and even to the point where fans are chanting “Ohhh Forestieri” second half of matches to get him on #swfc

Some work for the Owls to do, then, and it remains to be seen how Garry Monk goes about getting a result this weekend against Charlton.
