Sheffield Wednesday: Owls fans react as Connor Wickham is linked

Sheffield Wednesday are hoping to get themselves three points in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend as they travel to Leeds United and Elland Road.

The Owls have been good for much of this season but their league form has tailed off in recent weeks and it’s clear that they need to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.

There could be fewer better ways of doing that, too, than beating Yorkshire rivals Leeds on their own turf this weekend.

However, they’ll have to do it without Steven Fletcher and with that in mind it might be little surprise that the Owls are looking at striking options – with Connor Wickham evidently on their radar:

A big presence up top but one that has had his injury woes, it’s an intriguing-sounding move if it does happen.
