The Liverpool fans drinking in the Transfer Tavern are getting concerned about Klopp’s lack of movement in the transfer market

Apart from Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have had a very quiet transfer window.

Klopp seems to be patiently waiting to make his move on the many players he surely has on his radar, so as to not fall into similar traps that many other managers have before.

He will want to get a move on though, despite there being plenty of time left, the players Liverpool are linked with can easily move to a different club should an offer not come in for them.

In the same vein, Klopp will be looking to fund these moves with departing players and those deals need to happen quickly as well.

With about a month and a half to go, Klopp has left himself with a lot of work to do and on that note, here is one player Liverpool should definitely sell, and one they should definitely buy before the transfer window shuts….

Axe: Daniel Sturridge

It isn’t nice putting Sturridge on this list, when he is fit, he is one of the deadliest strikers in the league.

Unfortunately, he is very rarely fit, at least not consistently.

The England international only played 20 league games last season scoring a less than staggering three goals.

He suffered a hip injury at the start of the season, a calf injury mid-way through and then his hip started playing up again towards the tail end of the season.

He’s a great player, just too injury prone.

Cash in whilst you can Klopp and stop paying his wages just for him to lay on the treatment table.

Sign: Naby Keita

Aged only 22, Naby Keita has had a £70 million price tag slapped on him by his current club, RB Leipzig.

Whilst it may not be the traditional Liverpool way, or the traditional Klopp way for that matter, they really should just spend the money.

A young, talented midfielder who contributed to 16 goals in 31 league games last season, not bad numbers for a central midfielder.

Pay the money and get a talented midfielder in return who can remain at the club for several years.
