Mourinho’s side appear to have backtracked on signing Nemanja Matic, despite the Chelsea midfielder suggested to have agreed personal terms at Old Trafford.

After a quiet post-season, Bakayoko could be the second coup in a matter of days for United.

AXE – Marouane Fellaini

With United set on making improvements to their midfield, you can only envisage significantly less opportunity being handed to Fellaini.

The Belgian has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford since becoming David Moyes’ first and only signing in the summer of 2013.

Fellaini was booed by United fans in the aftermath of conceding a last minute penalty to Everton in December.
