Signing these 3 players would lead Liverpool to a first Premier League title next season

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping they see more early window signings in the summer, much like Klopp did by bringing Virgil Van Dijk to the club straight away back in January.

Liverpool are one of the most dangerous sides in Europe on their day, as they proved twice against Man City this year and our regulars have watched in awe as they have dominated their opposition over the course of this season. Although back at the start of the season was a little bit rocky, following the signing of Virgil van Dijk in January, he seems to have steadied the ship ever so slightly – and it seems that’s all they needed.

Despite his impressive forward line, the Reds boss will want to start bringing some quality into the team as he looks to secure a first Premier League title for the Reds.

Although it’ll be difficult, the Merseyside giants certainly are well-placed to have a big say on the complexion of the league table next year, after building some pretty good foundations thus far.

Our punters think it will take THREE quality signings for Liverpool to really turn on the gas and overtake United and City to grab the top spot in 2019, but if Klopp considers these three players our landlord has been talking about recently, they’ll stand a good chance of doing so…

Alisson

The Roma keeper has been on Klopp’s radar since the winter window. Klopp desperately needs a permanent number one between the sticks on a regular basis, with much of the up and down form in the first half of the season being mainly down to the pure confusion of who was playing behind the defence on that given match day.

For Klopp to mount a serious challenge, the Brazilian number one has got to be high on the shopping list in the summer.

He is far more consistent than both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, and just like Virgil van Dijk, the Brazilian could make the difference to take the Reds to the next level.

David Luiz

Luiz is reportedly free to leave Chelsea this summer, following a bust-up back in November with boss Antonio Conte that the Brazilian has never recovered from. A pairing of Luiz and Van Dijk would be a major upgrade to what the Reds currently have and one that could transform the whole dynamics of the team, especially with Luiz’s experience.

Liverpool desperately need to sort out their defence, to balance out the attacking luxuries he has to hand, and a player of the Brazilian’s quality could be the key to unlocking Liverpool’s title charge.

Thomas Lemar

The Monaco winger nearly joined Arsenal on deadline day last summer but a £95m move was rejected by the French international at the final ebbings. Lemar has been linked with a move to Anfield before and to get this one over the line would be a real signing to pull off for Klopp and his board

Lemar wouldn’t come cheap in a rising market but to replace the quality and skill of the now Barcelona man Coutinho, Klopp is going to have to spend big once again to ensure he doesn’t lose that little bit of edge the Brazilian brought to the team.
