Solanke seriously must leave for Liverpool, here’s 2 big reasons why..

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are seriously concerned that they might be about to lose one of the best young players within the Blues’ squad…

The Sun are reporting that young striker Dominic Solanke could be set to switch London for Liverpool upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

This is a big problem for the Blues, given that Solanke has been absolutely deadly during his spell in the Chelsea developmental system – with many of the Chelsea fans in the pub touting him for big things.

Conversely, the Liverpool fans in the pub are delighted about the potential arrival of Solanke – with many touting him as a potential Sturridge replacement.

In truth, our landlord is leaning more towards the Liverpool side of things – and he reckons that the deal might just be the perfect one for the striker.

With that said, Solanke seriously must leave for Liverpool, here’s 2 big reasons why…

 Chelsea Options

The fact of the matter is that there is very little chance of Solanke actually breaking into the Chelsea first team anytime soon.

With Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi ahead of him in the first team, and the likes of Tammy Abraham returning at the end of the season – you would expect that Solanke will be 4th or 5th choice at Chelsea by the end of the year. That is only going to worsen if the Blues sign someone.

He isn’t going to get the opportunity that he craves at Stamford Bridge, and so a departure simply makes sense.

 The Klopp Effect

Jurgen Klopp could be the man to turn Solanke from a good striker into a great striker.

The Englishman was deadly at youth level, but struggled to set the world alight with Vitesse, but Klopp has proven in the past that he is the perfect manager to progress young players.

What’s more, the German often affords opportunities to youngsters – and whilst that has come under scrutiny lately, you would expect Solanke to be a real benefactor of that method.
