The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to the latest rumours (from Spanish outlet AS via TEAMtalk) that Zinedine Zidane has decided against a move for Harry Kane. Zidane has reportedly made the decision as he doesn’t believe Kane would be able to adapt to life at Real Madrid due to his introverted personality.

The Spurs fans propping our bar up will no doubt be delighted with the news. Kane was part of the fantastic Spurs team that put the Spanish giants to the sword at Wembley in the Champions League group stages at the back end of last year. Spurs have since been knocked out of the Champions League but that has not stopped their admirers around Europe from being enthralled with the football they played in the competition.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli have been Spurs two most coveted players and both have been heavily linked to Real Madrid in past few years. However, with the recent news that Madrid are looking for options other than Kane, it could give Spurs some breathing room as they’ll be hoping they can hold onto their stars whilst they transition into their new stadium as of next season.
With that in mind, here’s our local Lilywhites’ verdict:
Thank you. Now goodbye.
