Southampton fans have given a mixed response on Twitter to the news that youngster Jake Hesketh has completed a season-long move to Lincoln City.
The 23-year-old has joined the League One club, who currently sit second in the league after just being promoted to the third tier.
Hesketh joins up with the club to have his second loan spell in League One in as many seasons after he played for Burton Albion in the last campaign.
The attacking midfielder has only played two league games in his career for Southampton, which raised a few questions for why he is still being loaned out by the club, considering that he will be 24 at this point this season and has never played consistently in England’s top two divisions.
There was a mixed response from Saints fans, with many happy that he’s got a move away, while others are a bit confused as to why he is still being kept at the club.
Here are some of the replies to the club account below..
Hesketh has not been handled well at all. He should be on the involved with the first team by now. Or at least least send him to the Championship. I totally feel for him.

Game time, experience, confidence, personal and professional development, a chance to stake a claim for his parent club, play in a physically challenging league with a decent side? Good luck for the season Jake.
