Southampton: Saints urged to move for Lewis Cook

According to FourFourTwo, Southampton should make a move for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook.
Saints urged to make Cook move
23-year-old Cook is currently playing in the Championship with the Cherries and has appeared 18 times in the second-tier so far this term.
FourFourTwo have put together an article looking at where each Premier League team needs to strengthen during the January transfer window, and they have suggested the Saints should sign Cook to provide back-up to James Ward-Prowse.
Potential bargain
Cook has less than two years left on his current contract, was previously compared to Luka Modric and hailed as a ‘little maestro’ by Jermain Defoe, and already has 75 Premier League appearances to his name. There are plenty of reasons why Cook would be an interesting option for Ralph Hasenhuttl, especially considering he is valued at just £9m (Transfermark).
Would you like to sign Lewis Cook?
Yes

No

Previously called “highly impressive” by former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, it seems unlikely that the south-coast outfit would be willing to let such an important player leave given that they are in the play-off places in the Championship as they look for an immediate return to the top flight. However, if Southampton were to put in a respectable bid for his services, they may well be able to convince the Cherries to part ways with the England international.
In other news, Saints fans blast this man against West Ham.
