Southampton fans have been reacting to the news that the club made a loss of £76.1m during the 2019/20 financial year.
On the pitch, things have been going rather well recently for Saints. As it stands, they are seventh in the Premier League table, having won eight of their first 17 games. One of those victories came in their last league match against Liverpool, who they defeated 1-0.

Off the pitch, though, things do not look quite as rosy. Clubs up and down the country are having to deal with reduced revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it seems that the south-coast outfit have been hit particularly hard by the situation.

The Southampton fans have been reacting in their droves to the news, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts, as some supporters lashed out at Gao Jisheng while others admitted they ‘fear for the future’ of clubs lower down the football pyramid.
