Southampton: Saints fans react to Asante Kotoko news

Some Southampton fans have been reacting to the news that the club have added Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko to their International Football Programme.

The Premier League is arguably the biggest division in world football right now, and that means that each and every club playing in the English top flight is a global brand. That allows the likes of Southampton to engage in partnerships with other clubs all around the planet – they already have links to teams in North America, the Middle East, Australia and Japan.

It seems that Southampton will help the Ghanaian outfit in a number of ways, but there must surely be something in this for the south-coast side – perhaps they will be able to have the first look at Kotoko’s up-and-coming talent?
