Over the last six years, Jan Vertonghen has shown everyone in North London what it looks like to be one of the best defenders in the world. The Belgian superstar has made a name for himself as a fan favourite as Spurs and he will probably go down as a club legend, however, La Parisien has claimed that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is interested in the Spurs man.
[Le Parisien] maintains Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel hasn’t abandoned the idea of pursuing a transfer for Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen.

The vast majority of Spurs fans would put Vertonghen right up there alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son as one of the players that they really do not want to see leave the club. The Lillywhites will be hoping that Vertonghen stays put in N17 until his retirement and seeing as he’s only 31-years-old, there’s still a good few years left in him before that happens.
Signed from Ajax back in 2012, the impressive Belgian defender has won more caps than any other player in Belgium history and whilst he’s yet to win a trophy with Tottenham, that hasn’t stopped the fans from marking him as a fan favourite. The club would be stupid to seel Vertonghen given his importance to the team both on and off the pitch and it looks like Mauricio Pochettino will be ignoring the interest of Tuchel as he aims to keep his defensive star.
