Tottenham Hotspur have built upon their fine season last term by going toe-to-toe with Chelsea for the Premier League this season.
Although they have a fairly large deficit to overhaul, many here in the Transfer Tavern are optimistic about their chances.

Bruma
The 22-year-old Portuguese winger has impressed with current outfit Galatasaray and has attracted the interest of Spurs.
Whilst the Turkish side are keen to keep him within their clutches, a move back to a top-league for the former Sporting Lisbon man would be difficult to turn down.
With five goals and five assists in just 16 Super League appearances this season, Bruma has performed valiantly and it’s easy to see why Spurs are interested in his services. He’d be a great addition to Spurs ranks, bolstering an already impressive attack.
Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley has endured a difficult season on Merseyside and has a way to go until he reaches his full potential.
However, the England international is highly-rated for a reason and the prospect of Barkley uniting with compatriot Dele Alli at club level will whet the appetite.
The 23-year-old is yet to find his best form under Ronald Koeman but has made 19 Premier League appearances, scoring three goals and registering four assists.
Those numbers could be bettered though and Spurs would have to pay a high price to land his signature.
Nicolas Gaitan
The Argentine winger moved to Spanish football last summer but hasn’t quite settled fully at Atletico Madrid, facing competition for places with the likes of Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
As such, Spurs have been linked with a swoop.
The 28-year-old has started just seven games this season across all competitions and he may find better opportunities at Spurs, where he could become a crucial member of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.
