As quoted by The London Evening Standard, Eric Dier has dismissed suggestions that Spurs are currently in a crisis having not won for a while and our local Lilywhites fans are certainly happy to hear that here in the Transfer Tavern.
Spurs drew another game at the weekend, this time away at fellow title challengers Arsenal, and played a 3-4-3 formation, with Dier employed as a centre-half alongside Jan Vertonghen and Kevin Wimmer.
Still, there’s little doubt that Spurs were mightily impressive at the Emirates on Sunday lunchtime.
That result meant the club slipped to five points behind Liverpool who went top of the league after beating Watford, but the England international is not worried by their lack of wins in recent weeks as they are still unbeaten.
In fact, Mauricio Pochettino’s team the only Premier League side to be so.
“In the week people were talking about Tottenham being in crisis, but we haven’t lost yet in the Premier League”, said the England man.
”Obviously the Champions League was disappointing, but I think it is funny when you’re unbeaten in the league and it is a crisis.”
Spurs lost at Wembley to Bayer Leverkusen last week to leave their Champions League qualification hopes in the balance and face Monaco away next time out.
