This just in from our man in N17. Tottenham have stepped out of the shadows with a £10 million bid for Ryan Babel.

The ‘player in a helicopter’ story on Sky Sports News appears to have some truth in it, even if that shouty Scottish bloke is wasn’t entirely sure where the damn thing was scheduled to land.

And… West Ham have been offered £9 million for Carlton Cole. I can barely begin to calculate how over the odds this is for Cole, but as per my previous comments this afternoon, Roy is a man who will nurture him. Is Carlton Cole is the man to act as a foil to Fernando Torres, though?
