Spurs want the PL title: These 2 January signings can make it happen

Even the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern appear to be forgetting that their side are in fact unbeaten in the Premier League, despite their exit in the Champions League group stages.

While things have no doubt stalled at White Hart Lane, talk of a full-blown crisis seems somewhat premature and the north London locals have been hoping Mauricio Pochettino’s side will soon rediscover their best form.

In truth, Spurs aren’t all that far off top spot and the notion of them challenging once again isn’t as ridiculous as talk surrounding recent results would have you believe.

Should they strengthen in the New Year sales, it’s not inconceivable that a return to the sort of form which made them so pulsating to watch last season couldn’t further propel up the league.

They showed during the win over Manchester City back in October that they really can compete with the big boys, so some smart additions may be well advised.

With that in mind, here are TWO players to help win Spurs the title.

Daniel Sturridge

Ambitious perhaps, with Liverpool also challenging, though recent reports from Bleacher Report suggested there was interest in Daniel Sturridge from Spurs in the summer.

Not getting much in the way of game time at Anfield right now, the 27-year-old would create a dream partnership with Harry Kane at club level, bringing goals in abundance.

The two of them firing at White Hart Lane would be a sight to behold

Wilfried Zaha

Having made a move for the Crystal Palace man in the summer, you get a sense Zaha is exactly the type of players Spurs so desperately need right now.

Creates so much chaos in the final third and would give Pochettino’s side another dimension going forward, as well as being tenacious enough to do a job the other way.

With Palace struggling, the 24-year-old would surely be tempted.
