It’s fair to say that the Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are in a dismal mood right now.
Indeed, the Eagles are yet to win this season. In fact, they’re yet to even score a goal.
Onto their second manager already, the mood has turned even worse amongst our punters clad in blue and red stripes.
Star striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out for up to eight weeks with a knee injury, picked up in the 5-0 loss at Manchester City over the course of the weekend.
Having failed to bring in another forward during the summer and Connor Whickham struggling for fitness so far this season, it’s terrible news for Palace fans, who are gearing up for games against Manchester United and Chelsea.
So, as you can imagine, the Belgian’s injury has sparked quite the reaction online.
