There are many things that Chelsea fans can be frustrated about this season. It’s not been an easy season for the Blues, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
They can, of course, be angry about poor individual form. New signings like Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko have struggled, whilst long-standing squad members like Gary Cahill have also been poor.
Antonio Conte is another point of contention, with the Italian struggling at the helm.
However, perhaps the biggest failing that has become apparent this season comes in the form of a player that isn’t curerntly at Stamford Bridge – Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian is currently playing for Liverpool, and he has arguably been the biggest star at Anfield this season.
He was on form yet again on Tuesday night, scoring twice as Liverpool bagged a 5-2 win over Roma in the Champions League.
Chelsea fans, it seems, were watching the game with a keen eye, and in reaction, they’re all saying the same thing – just how did they get it so wrong?
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
Imagine if Salah, KBD, Hazard and Lukaku were our 4 up top. cheers Jose, you only got rid of the three of them #CFC

You know the worst thing about Salah being this class, we had him and just let him go. Struggling to comprehend how short sighted Chelsea can get. Him and KDB both sold for peanuts! Salah is now a 200mill player #CFC

Salah has improved so much but it's baffling how Mourinho watched him in training every morning & didn't spot his talent

It isn't the Chelsea sacking that got Mourinho bitter, it's seeing De Bruyne, Salah & co, his rejects doing wonders at other clubs did. #CFC #Mourinho

Jose was too blind to see potentials in Salah and Debrune …total shame #cfc pic.twitter.com/g7oVVrYUQI

Supported the blues since 1967 and what a rollercoaster ride. Very few regrets however not realising both Salah and De Bruyne's potential and basically giving them away has me stunned. How could that have happened?

Just finished watching the Liverpool game which I’d recorded. How did #cfc get Salah so wrong. Has he improved 1000% since he was a Blues player? Or did Mourinho destroy his confidence? Clearly now a brilliant player. & when he came off the Scousers fell apart. #curious
