Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are currently frothing at the mouth at the prospect of Champions League football coming back to Anfield next season.
A run of seven games unbeaten has all but solidified the Reds position in the Champions League spaces, but our landlord has warned that Jurgen Klopp’s men must finish the job in order to give the fans those magic European nights next season.
Our resident Liverpool fans in the Tavern completely agree with our landlord, but with the fragility of their squad being exposed whenever a key member of their squads sustain an injury, they are demanding that Jurgen Klopp is active in this summer’s transfer window.
Forever wanting to be involved in the discussion, our landlord has been looking at potential players that Klopp should be looking at with Champions League pedigree being the main criteria, in what could end up being a huge season in the Klopp era at Anfield.
The Reds’ fans totally agree that it this transfer window could define Klopp’s tenure at Liverpool and after looking at our landlord’s list, they have outlined the top THREE players they feel that their club needs to scout and sort a move for as soon as possible.
Let’s take a look at the players here…
Jetro Willems

The PSV left back may be the perfect solution for the current lack of left back that Liverpool have at the moment.
Whilst Alberto Moreno seems to be out of favour at Anfield, Klopp has used James Milner in defence and although he has done a good job – a proper left back should be on the Liverpool transfer agenda.
Our landlord believes Liverpool need to get their scouts out to Eindhoven in order to look at Willems to move him to Anfield.
Jose Gimenez
Could Liverpool enter a tug of war with their arch rivals, Manchester United, over Atletico Madrid’s centre back, Jose Gimenez.
Our landlord believes that Klopp needs to get his scouts over to Madrid in order to make sure Gimenez is a player worth entering a potential tug of war for in order to shore up the Reds’ defence.
The resident Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see Gimenez at Anfield next season and feel that the 22-year-old could enhance their squad for Champions League football next season.
Dries Mertens

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern desperately want to see their scouts in the stands at the Stadio San Paolo in order to push through the signing of Belgium star, Mertens.
The Napoli forward has been in sensational form for the Naples side this season, and our landlord feels that he could really enhance a squad that has seemingly struggled when injuries have occurred to key players, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho this season.
