Sunderland appear to have turned a leaf when it comes down to recent results, which in turn, seems to have started to change the opinions of some of the club’s faithful in regards to Phil Parkinson.
The victory against Lincoln City on Saturday meant the Black Cats extended their undefeated streak to five games, with the win being their second in three games (as per Sky Sports).
First-half goals from Tom Flanagan and a brace from Lynden Gooch were enough for Parkinson’s side to take all three points and give the club their first win at home since the beginning of November.
Parkinson may have received some frosty receptions from supporters in recent times because of his inability to turn things around, however it seems their recent run of results may have cooled the anger being directed towards him.
Some of the club’s faithful stated that credit was due to the manager for starting to turn things around, whereas some felt he might be starting to get something out of the group of players he has available to him.

Credit where its due thought we were excellent 1st half & fair play to Parkinson that’s how you setup with wing backs have them stretching the game and offering width. We were helped by Lincoln playing football and not using league 1 tactics it will be a different game next week
