A number of Sunderland fans on social media were left in awe of Bailey Wright’s most recent performance for the club.
The 27-year-old Australia international joined the Black Cats in January on a loan deal from Bristol City and was featuring in just his second League One game (per TransferMarkt). Indeed, it would seem a number of the Wearsider’s faithful have been impressed with the few appearances he has made so far.
Wright continued to make a positive impression on the fan base with his solid outing against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon at the Stadium of Light, as he put in another solid display.
According to the data compiled by WhoScored, the £900k-rated defender (per TransferMarkt) made a magnificent seven clearances, blocked one shot and also hit the crossbar with one of his own attempts.
Fans raved over what he provided Phil Parkinson’s side with during their win, with some appearing to credit the Australian with the Man of the Match award.
