Sunderland: Fans loving what Lynden Gooch is doing for the team right now

A number of Sunderland fans have been waxing lyrical over Lynden Gooch as he took to Twitter to share his delight after he helped his side record a 1-0 win against Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday afternoon.

The American got the only goal of the game against the League One strugglers away from home to help take the Black Cats into a play-off spot as Phil Parkinson’s side continue their magnificent turnaround. The Mackems are unbeaten in their last seven matches and have won four of their last five to date as the club look to get their 2019/20 campaign back on track and going in the right direction (Sky Sports).

Indeed, Gooch has proven to be a key figure for Sunderland in recent weeks as well, as the 24-year-old appears to have hit a purple patch at the right time for the Wearsiders. The former United States of America international has struck four goals and provided one assist in his last five League One fixtures (per TransferMarkt).

Of course, it should not come as a surprise that he has been earning a number of plaudits on Twitter with his recent displays out in the middle and it would seem many of the club’s faithful are not prepared to stop just yet. The winger took to the social media network to post another message after the outfit’s most recent victory and supporters have just jumped on it to share their praise once again.
