Sunderland: Fans puzzled by rumours about midfielder Aaron Tshibola

With the League One season up and running, Sunderland fans have had their first taste of what to expect from the promotion hopefuls, and new signings are still on the agenda for Jack Ross’ side.

According to a media report in his native Congo, powerful Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola is free to leave Villa Park and on the transfer shopping list of Jack Ross’s Sunderland.

Reports have emerged from FootDRC that the Blacks Cats are interested in Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola, with the Premier League side willing to let the 6’3” midfielder walk from Villa Park for free this summer despite having one year remaining on his contract.

Sunderland have brought in five players in this transfer window (per Transfermarkt), and with the recent links to Tshibola making the rounds, supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the rumour, which many Black Cat fans found confusing.
