Spurs have crept into the top-four places in recent weeks, after Chelsea’s decline following a nightmare first few months of the year. However, in the first half of the season, it didn’t look too good for Mauricio Pocchettino has his team seemed to struggle for the first time in a couple of seasons.

Spurs have had a very settled side for some time now, but our punters feel that it needs a major shakeup and revitalising ahead of next season for fear of it becoming complacent and stagnated.

If Pochettino is to bring any trophies to Spurs during his time at the club, then our barman thinks he needs to be a little more ruthless in his team. With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at which two players who would come in and really give things a shake-up within the squad…

Nabil Fekir

The Frenchman is having a great season so far in Ligue 1 with Lyon, he is one of the best performers around Europe and is certainly catching the eye of many managers in the process. His ability to find the net and assist his team-mates is making Fekir a likely target for a summer scramble for his signature,

Spurs could do with a little bit of something different in the midfield and another stream of goals, even though Son has really stepped up to the mark in recent months.

Ciro Immobile

The Italian striker is averaging a goal a game at the moment for Lazio in Serie A, which would bring in some much-needed competition for star striker Harry Kane. However, for instance, right now Spurs are going to be without the striker and more importantly without his goals and with no real replacement for either.

If Pochettino wants to bring trophies into the club, then more competition for places os a must and strength in depth is key.
