Surely these 2 players won’t be in De Boer’s first Crystal Palace match-day squad next season

The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern tonight have high hopes about next season with their new manager.

Frank De Boer is gearing up to take charge of his first ever Premier League game come the 12th of August when Crystal Palace take on newly promoted Huddersfield.

Despite being favoured with a relatively easy opponent, in the grand scheme of the Premier League that is, De Boer will need to be ruthless when it comes to picking his match day squad and many players won’t make the cut.

Some will be surprising but with others, it would be more surprising if they made it into the team quite frankly.

For every superstar such as Benteke or Zaha, there are some players who might be getting paid by Palace, but they will most likely never get played by Palace.

With that being said, here are TWO players who surely will not feature in De Boer’s first match day squad, next season…..

Freddie Ladapo

Freddie Ladapo spent half of last season on loan at Oldham and the other half on loan at Shrewsbury in League One, not exactly the best preparation for Premier League football.

The 24-year-old finds himself fighting for places against players like Christian Benteke and that is a fight he is losing season after season, a fact that doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.

With his contract running out next season, it is likely Ladapo will be in search of a new club for the 2018/19 season.

Hiram Boateng

Another seasoned loanee with only one year left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

Hiram Boateng, at just 21 years of age, has youth on his side and could potentially go onto a certain level of success should Palace not renew his contract.

However, right now, Frank De Boer will be looking at his squad and Hiram Boateng will not be a name he considers for his opening day team.
