Surely these 2 two Liverpool players have no future if Mario Lemina joins in the summer

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can continue to insert their dominance on the European stage, as the opportunity to repeat the heroics of Istanbul offers a huge incentive for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp has managed to produce one of the best attacking lines that the club has ever come to experience at Anfield, as memories of Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling’s partnership are now forgotten. Indeed, the Reds’ deadly trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have produced an astounding 66 goals so far this season, as many of our local residents just can’t get enough of what they’re witnessing.

Although, with no improvements needed in the attacking department at the end of the season, Liverpool are looking to bolster their midfield unit with the addition of a highly-rated Premier League player. Indeed, the Reds are turning to their supposed ‘feeder club’ Southampton once again, in an attempt to try and prise former Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina away from St Mary’s.

The Gabonese international has been one of the standout performers so far this season in the Premier League, as the Saints’ biggest hope of ensuring top-flight survival. And, a move for the midfielder in the summer transfer window would be a great decision by the Reds, with evident improvements needed in the middle of the park.

Therefore, these TWO Liverpool players will surely have no future at Anfield if Mario Lemina joins in the summer…

James Milner

The 32-year-old has been a valuable member of the Liverpool squad so far this season, after putting in some impressive performances in all competitions.

However, the Englishman has been largely used as a rotation player under manager Jurgen Klopp, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain often getting the nod ahead of the midfielder. Although, James Milner is one of the few Liverpool players that does provide consistency within his performances, and offers the key experience required on cold European nights in the Champions League.

But, James Milner is slowly edging towards the end of his footballing career, and the addition of Mario Lemina in the summer could just see a decrease in the veteran’s minutes for next season. Therefore, the former Manchester City man could face an inevitable exit from Anfield, with regular minutes being so vital at this point in the Englishman’s career.

Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana is another former product of Premier League side Southampton and has enjoyed a rather successful time on the field for the Reds. Although, this is only when he manages to actually make it onto the pitch, as the Englishman has been plagued with injuries since joining the club back in 2014.

Indeed, the 29-year-old has only made nine first-team appearances in a season that’s seen the Reds produce magnificent results without him, meaning that it could be impossible for the attacking midfielder to force his way into the side when he returns.

Therefore, with injuries continuing to take their toll on Adam Lallana’s footballing career, adding Mario Lemina to their ranks would see yet another player rise above the England international in the Liverpool pecking order.
