Henrik Larsson

Perhaps one of the most famous, most popular names to ever feature for the Bhoys was Henrik Larsson, who will forever go down as a club legend.

The Swedish international striker oozed class in every single department and his 242 goals for the club well and truly sees him up there as one of the most successful players the club has ever seen.

Celtic’s ability to bring him in from Feyenoord amid all the interest in him at that time is why Henrik Larrson is the first name on our list.

Johan Mjallby

Little was known about Swedish international Johan Mjallby when Celtic brought him to the club for a timely sum of £1.2million back in 1998, and it was a move that to start with, concerned Bhoys fans on the terraces.

But for six years he put in a string of commanding performances and will long go down as one of the most popular players to ever pull on the green and white jersey.

Six years later he left for Levante before retiring due to injuries.

This was a man that went from zero to hero pretty quickly indeed, which is why he makes it on this list.

Shunsuke Nakamura

Celtic’s ability to win the race for Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura back in 2005 made this one of the most exciting transfer deals of that summer.

Teams from all over the world were chasing the then Reggina man but when Celtic won the race, people were seriously excited.

And the Japanese international didn’t fail to disappoint, turning in some fantastic performances in his four years with the club.
