Rumours have been escalating here in the Transfer Tavern for weeks over the future of Barcelona starlet Neymar; and it looks like Manchester United are the club to make the largest move for the forward yet.
Neymar has been touted as a potential superstar since his early teenage years, and he is one of the very few to have lived up to expectations.
After having an offer from just about every top European club on the table, he eventually chose Barcelona, where he has formed an unstoppable attacking trio with Messi and Suarez.
Now however, off the field issues have marred the potential for a long future wth the club, with reports linking him with other top European sides.
United under Mourinho have not been afraid to splash the cash so far , and the Express is reporting that they are ready to break the bank to sign the Brazilian.
The thought of Neymar at any club would immediately scare rival sides; but the thought of him at United is a particularly shocking one.
In fact, our landlord thinks the United front four might become unstoppable next season with Neymar included.

Neymar – Inside Forward – Left
Everyone knows how good this kid is.
In his 93 La Liga games with the club he has managed to bag 55 goals, an impressive record on it’s own.
But when you consider how much he contributes to transitional play and assisting his prolific team mates in Messi and Suarez; the true nature of Neymar’s ability becomes clear.
Certainly a future Balon’Dor winner, Neymar would walk into any side in world football, and if United were to capture him they would simply be unstoppable going forward.

Wayne Rooney is a divisive player. Many fans feel that he should be the first name on the team sheet, whilst others feel that it is time for him to become a rotation player.
Whatever your feelings towards the Englishman, you can’t argue with his record.
During his time with United he has been a consistently reliable centre forward, and as he transitions into a deeper, more transitional midfielder he has continued to deliver.
Whilst he does not score as much as he used to, his role as leader is imperative to the side, and you cannot simply ignore what he does for the team on the pitch.
In this new look United forward line there is nobody better to become the focal point of the attack. Wayne Rooney MUST retain his place in this side.
Anthony Martial – Inside Forward – Right
Louis Van Gaal famously said upon the arrival of Anthony Martial that he was a signing for the future.
In reality, the young forward was immediately a hit at Old Trafford.
He was brought into the side and immediately hit the ground running, scoring goals and performing consistently for his new side.
With a year in the Premier League and a European Championship under his belt this summer; the future looks very bright for the young Frenchman.
Make no mistake however; it is not just about the future, Anthony Martial has all the talent in the world.
With a consistent starting place alongside players like Neymar he could really shine and make that right wing spot his own.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Centre Forward
The worst kept secret in football this summer.
It has now been revealed through most outlets that the Swedish striker is almost definitely on his way to Old Trafford this summer, with a medical expected after Sweden exit the European Championships.
Despite a relatively disappointing tournament so far, there is no doubting the striker who has scored 113 goals in 122 Ligue One games during his time with PSG.
The powerful striker is perfect for the Premier League, and with his experience combined with the young wingers flanking him; this trio could become unbeatable.
With Neymar and Martial beside him and with players like Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata providing the through balls from midfield, it would not be a surprise to see Ibrahimovic with that Golden Boot next season.
