Liverpool fans are looking happier than most here in the Football Transfer Tavern now the transfer window has finally slammed shut and as our landlord notes, it is no wonder.
Not only have the club managed to keep their star man Luis Suarez, but they have also bought in a host of players and done some very good business.
Add this to the fact that they have managed to beat rivals Manchester United and have beaten off all competition to be top of the Premier League table after three games – in which they got nine points – things are looking rather good for the red half of Merseyside.
All of this has been done without star man Luis Suarez who is still paying the price for his hunger pains during the game against Chelsea last season, and it is fair to say that Brendan Rodgers deserves a glass or two of champagne – on the house of course for his work so far this season.
The new arrivals at Liverpool are just settling in and are more than enough for fans to be getting to grips with – from Mamadou Sakho’s love for crazy hairstyles to getting Victor Moses’ confidence back up to the level where he actually feels like he can kick a ball without getting grief.
