It seems as if almost every day, some sections of supporters in the Transfer Tavern always find a way to slag off Wayne Rooney.
One of the most divisive figures in English football, the 30-year-old has lost his place at club level and is reportedly at risk of doing the same for the Three Lions.
Booed at Wembley as the Three Lions beat Malta, the United skipper is quite clearly growing increasingly unpopular at Old Trafford.
Despite his plethora of achievements, with some of the criticism proving unfair, reports in the Sun claiming his son – Kai – had joined the Red Devils’ youth setup have caused a storm on Twitter.
While it must be made abundantly clear none of the jibes are directed at the young one whatsoever, some on social media are using the story to poke fun at Rooney senior.
With that in mind, here are the SIX funniest fan reactions to the Rooney rumours.
