Tottenham’s season continued to fade out badly, with a 3-0 defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side ruled themselves out of a top four finish with defeat to Manchester City last weekend, and already attentions have turned to next season.
Th 2014-15 campaign will be more remembered for the goals of Harry Kane than anything else, and Pochettino says he is working hard to find the right players to support him next term.
In the event of a transfer window disaster, we have come up with what might be the weakest team Pochettino could currently send out next season.

Michel Vorm
The Dutchman was signed from Swansea last summer, and has appeared for Tottenham in the cup competitions.
Regarded as a decent shot-stopper, Vorm is not in the same league as Hugo Lloris – a player Tottenham will be desperate to keep hold of in the summer.
The France captain has been linked with Champions League club’s, so Tottenham will hope Vorm is still the club’s second choice come the start of next season.
Eric Dier
The young full back has had a mixed first season at Tottenham.
Most comfortable at right back, Dier has also been used in the centre by Pochettino this term.
After a superb start to the season that included two goals in the opening two matches, Dier has struggled for consistency.
The former Sporting Lisbon man goes into next season still trying to establish himself as a first choice.
Vlad Chiriches
The Romanian was signed by Andre Villas-Boas in the summer of 2013, and has made little to no impact.
Capable of playing right back or centre back, Chiriches was linked with a move away only last January.
His poor season was compounded yesterday with a red card during the 3-0 defeat at Stoke.
Younes Kaboul
The Frenchman has been relegated to fourth choice centre back this season, and Tottenham hope that’s where he will stay.
Another who has been linked with a summer move away, Kaboul has shown his best days are clearly behind him over the course of the past 12 months.
Now 29 and with a questionable fitness record, the former Portsmouth man will be looking for a club capable of offering regular first team football.
Ben Davies
Similarly to Eric Dier, left back Ben Davies has had a mixed first season as a Tottenham full back.
Hopes were high in the summer when Spurs beat Liverpool to the signature of the highly rated 21-year-old, but Davies has been behind Danny Rose in the pecking order for the majority of the season.
Like Dier, he goes into next season with plenty to prove.
Etienne Capoue
The Frenchman has struggled to establish himself since a £9million move from Toulouse in 2013.
Capoue has been used as a midfielder and a centre back, and has played both roles equally poorly.
He was linked with a move to Italy within six months of joining the club, and is another expected to be sold in the summer.
Paulinho
The Brazilian has made an impact when brought off the bench in recent weeks, but still he has not done enough overall this season to warrant a regular starting place.
There was so much expectation when Tottenham signed him in the summer of 2013, and it is fair to say he has been a major disappointment.
Perhaps an example of a player who is simply unsuited to the demands of English football.
Benjamin Stambouli
Signed from Montpellier last summer, Benjamin Stambouli has managed 25 appearances this season – and still Tottenham fans are unsure as to what type of player he is.
He has managed one goal this season but little else, and has not featured for the club since March after sustaining an injury, although he managed two minutes of Saturday’s 3-0 humbling at Stoke.
Surely he will be little more than a squad player next season.
Moussa Dembele
The Belgian has had three seasons at Tottenham now, and still he has not made the impact plenty had predicted after one fantastic season at Fulham.
There has been a mild improvement under Pochettino this season, but the Argentine would be willing to sell Dembele for the right price in order to fund a move for another midfielder.
Everton has previously been linked.
Roberto Soldado
The nightmare has continued for Roberto Soldado at Tottenham.
Signed for £26million, Soldado has managed five goals in 38 appearances this season, and is firmly behind Harry Kane in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.
Anyone questioning whether Spurs should cut their losses, only needs to take a look at his miss during the Europa League exit to Fiorentina.

Emmanuel Adebayor
One of the most confusing players in the English game.
After a superb second half of last season, Adebayor has reverted to the lazy goal-shy striker we have seen so often down the years this term, with two goals in just 17 appearances, of which only one has come in the Premier League.
West Ham and QPR attempted to sign him in January, and he is expected to move on this summer.
