Liverpool have got a fantastic squad right now and our local Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are more than happy about the work Jurgen Klopp has done in assembling it.
Up front, the Reds have got a mixture of Brazilian and African flair in Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho whilst the midfield has a more European feel with Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Reds’ defence sees the likes of former England international James Milner joined by current one Nathaniel Clyne and a Croatian and Cameroonian in the middle with Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.
To complete it, there’s a German in goal in Loris Karius with the Reds having a truly international team that gets good results.

Sadio Mane
It’s very early days in Mane’s Liverpool career but when you look at what he’s done so far and the fact that the likes of El-Hadj Diouf and Salif Diao could have been considered for this list you see why he makes it.
He’s been dynamite so far for the Reds with a number of great performances for Jurgen Klopp’s men and he has to be commended on the way he’s had such an instant impact, let’s see if it continues.
Bruce Grobbelaar
Though he was born in South Africa, he represented Zimbabwe and was part of one of the most successful sides in English football as the Reds dominated the 80’s.
He won all there was to win with the club during a 13-year spell and became famous for his eccentric style in that time, too.
He inspired the jelly-legs movement from penalties that Jerzy Dudek employed in the 2005 Champions League final.
