These 2 Celtic wonderkids need to be fast-tracked nearer to the first-team – Agreed?

Celtic are flying high at the top of the Scottish Premier League, and sealed the title a few weeks back with plenty of games to spare.

The Celtic squad is full of talent, and this comes from Brendan Rodgers putting plenty of trust in some of his young stars too.

Our Celtic fans here in the Tavern are often heard talking about the amount of young players they have produced in the last few years, and talk over at the fruit machine this week has centered on that very topic.

The word from our landlord following chats with the Bhoys fans is that there are one or two now in the youth set up who could well be ready for first team action, and we agree with his opinion.

Here, we look at TWO Celtic wonderkids who should be fast-tracked to the first team…

Kristoffer Ajer

The young Norwegian midfielder certainly looks a talent, and Celtic fans will be excited to see someone like Ajer break into the first team.

At just 18, he has lots of time on his side, but if he can show the ability everyone knows he has on a regular basis, then Brendan Rodgers could well move him into the first team pretty soon.

Aidan Nesbitt

Another midfield player at the club who looks promising, the 20-year-old is currently enjoying a spell with Morton, where he has become a regular fixture in the first eleven.

Nesbitt will be hoping his form during his loan spell has caught the attention of Brendan Rodgers, and he will certainly be hoping to break into the first team next season and play regularly for the Bhoys.
