Crystal Palace fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can avoid relegation to the Championship, after struggling to string together a positive run of results. 

The Eagles will be desperate to build on their victory against Huddersfield Town recently in the Premier League, as many of our local residents are still extremely worried about relegation. Although, Roy Hodgson will do everything he possibly can to keep them in the top-flight, having enjoyed a rather successful campaign thus far.

Indeed, Wilfried Zaha has been the standout performer for Crystal Palace so far this season, as his goals and assists have single-handedly kept them out of trouble on a few occasions. So, the Eagles will be desperate to see other first-team players raise their game from here on in, as this could make all the difference at the end of the season.

Christian Benteke

Christian Benteke has struggled to find his feet in the current Premier League campaign, with other first-team members having to help carry the goalscoring load due to his ineffectiveness.

Indeed, the Belgian has been one of the most prolific strikers in the top-flight in previous seasons, but will need to start finding the back of the net if Palace are to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Therefore, the 27-year-old will need to be as good as Wilfried Zaha from here on in, otherwise, he may find himself on the market at the end of the season after a less than convincing campaign.

Yohan Cabaye

Yohan Cabaye is arguably one of Crystal Palace’s biggest stars after a number of accomplished seasons in the Premier League, but hasn’t been at his best thus far as he continues to struggle.

Indeed, the Frenchman has only managed to create one goal for his teammates so far this season, with many of our local residents hoping that he can return to his old dominant ways from here on in.

Therefore, Cabaye will need to be as a good as Zaha before the end of the season, as a number of world-class performances could go a long way to helping their survival bid.
