Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern has been shocked by the way Leeds United have performed this season and it’s highly likely that they will be in the play-offs come the end of the season!
He’s delighted for Garry Monk, who we feel still will be a regret for a number of years for Swansea City. The former Swans manager and player has been a breath of fresh air at Elland Road and, after a number of seasons in the abyss, they finally look like they are going in the right direction.
Obviously, with the history of the club in recent years it’s easy to see why some here at the bar are still skeptical of Leeds capabilities of reaching the Premier League.
This can also spread to the players who obviously want to be playing Premier League football and could see a move away as a more successful approach of getting to the very top.
With that in mind, it would be ideal for these TWO Leeds players to move on and would be better off at another club…
RONALDO VIEIRA

With a name like this you can already detect stardom for the young midfielder!
But it’s not just his name that has turned heads this season, it’s also his performances on the pitch. At just 19-years-old he’s already showing experience and talent well beyond his years. With being young and talented it can be daunting to move on but Vieira could really benefit from a move to a higher standard of football sooner rather than later.
MARCO SILVESTRI

This is more for the benefit of the player than his pure quality.
The young Italian keeper was superb for Leeds United last season but this year he has found his time on the pitch limited to just cup games with how well Robert Green has been playing. So, for the sake of his career as a goalkeeper he must look to move on to a club that will play him week in week out or he’ll risk always being a number two in Monk’s eyes.
