These 2 Man United players need to be as good as Mo Salah next season if they want to win the league

Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern have got the hope that the Red Devils can go all the way next season, despite the fact bitter rivals Manchester City have steam-rolled the Premier League this season.

Having been in and out of the top-four over the past five seasons, United will be hoping that this season is a benchmark for the following campaign, and Jose Mourinho’s players to make the step up – much like Mo Salah has down this season. Considering the sheer amount of incisive wide attackers the Portuguese has at his disposal, surely one of them needs to try and emulate Liverpool’s, Egyptian King.

The league, for this season, had gone in many of our United fans’ minds months ago and the now sole interest and focus should be on winning the FA Cup. If that is to happen, then Mourinho can use that as the second foundation lay in as many seasons to jump on to bigger things.

After a terrific start to Premier League life under Mourinho’s second season in charge, many of the players looked fresh and full of life. However, they soon dropped their standards and had a mid-season wobble some months back.

Mourinho needs the players to sustain their form throughout the season, and in particular, these TWO United stars should look at the consistency of Mo Salah this year…

Anthony Marital

Anthony Martial is undoubtedly one of the most talented wide forwards in the world. The Frenchman boasts so many tools to emulate, or even better Salah, though doesn’t seem to have a natural place in Jose Mourinho’s side. Whether that’s his own fault or not is up for debate, though Martial should be delivering more when called upon.

A thrillingly incisive wide forward, the former Monaco man needs a big season to prove he’s not been a flop and should look to Salah for that kind of inspiration.

Alexis Sanchez

With the arrival of Chilean Sanchez in January, it coincided with Paul Pogba’s dip in form. However, the former Gunners player needs to work with the Frenchman to ensure United are in and among the bidders for the title come next May. Few sides in the Premier League boast such a ridiculously talented duo and, if he can find his spark, it would be a joy to watch for the Old Trafford faithful.

Sanchez has proven he can hit upwards of 15-20 goals a season already and could do with bagging that sort of number next season.
