A young talent, the quality that Solanke has is undisputable – and his signing would certainly be a coup for the Reds.

However, Klopp’s season hasn’t gone to plan so far – with a number of poor results coming throughout January – and it seems clear that they are going to need more than just Solanke to impress next season.

They need a few players that can come in and make an instant impact, and for that, the Liverpool brass is going to need to spend a lot of money.

With the end goal clearly a return to the top of the Premier League, Klopp needs the players that can get him there, and so this summer he needs to make a few signings.

With that said, these 2 players could follow Solanke to Liverpool in the summer…

 Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool desperately need a bit more defensive depth, and they could continue the trend and raid Southampton once more.

Virgil van Dijk is, arguably, one of the best central defenders in the Premier League – and whilst he is currently out injured, he should be back before the end of the season.

Powerful in the air, technical with the ball at his feet and incredibly consistent – he would make a fine defensive partner alongside Joel Matip for the Reds.

 Alexandre Lacazette

Whilst Liverpool have yet to be linked with Lacazette, you have to think that he could be the perfect player for the Reds.

Liverpool have failed to replace Luis Suarez since he departed for Spain, with Daniel Sturridge failing to cement himself under Jurgen Klopp.

Lacazette, meanwhile, has clearly outgrown the French league – with his consistent scoring and technical brilliance proving vital for current side Lyon.
